Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, including scheduling and tracking of shipments, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to negotiate rates, arrange shipments, and resolve any transportation-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and transportation expenses, and prepare regular reports for management review.
- Monitor and optimize warehouse and inventory management processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure availability of materials and supplies for production schedules.
- Implement and maintain procedures to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in logistics operations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to enhance overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of transportation logistics, including familiarity with shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
