Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer

Location: UAE

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in the UAE, with a strong background in high-volume manufacturing environments. The candidate must possess a Nebosh Certificate and a Degree Certificate from a recognized institution in the UAE.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with OHSA/DHA and Dubai fire and safety regulations.
2. Strong hands-on experience in a high -volume manufacturing environment. 
3. Excellent understanding of chemical and gas delivery systems, waste treatment and handling practices and control principles. Knowledge of General First Aid.
4. Excellent knowledge and understanding of OHSA/DHA and Dubai fire and safety regulations etc. 
5. Working knowledge of environmental sampling equipment and protocols. Excellent documentation and records retention practices.
6. Excellent MS Office skills. 
7. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
8. Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and proper handling of chemicals and gas delivery systems.
9. Maintain documentation and records related to safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
10. Coordinate with relevant authorities for obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
11. Investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
12. Monitor and ensure compliance with waste treatment and handling practices, as well as environmental sampling equipment and protocols.
13. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry best practices and regulations related to health, safety, and environment.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in HSE roles in the UAE, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
2. Nebosh Certificate and Degree Certificate from a recognized institution in the UAE.
3. Strong "hands-on" experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
4. Excellent understanding of chemical and gas delivery systems, waste treatment and handling practices, and control principles.
5. Knowledge of General First Aid is preferred.
6. Excellent knowledge and understanding of OHSA/DHA and Dubai fire and safety regulations.
7. Working knowledge of environmental sampling equipment and protocols.
8. Excellent documentation and records retention practices.
9. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
